When changing a workflow for a project, you may encounter a case when the statuses of the new workflow differ from those of the current one in a way that Birdview PSA cannot resolve by itself and require your intervention. When this happens, you will see a dialog box like this one:
Before you can proceed to change the workflow, you need to do status mapping, i.e. selecting a status of the new workflow (right-hand column) that corresponds to the respective status in the left column. In the example above, you need to select a status among ones available in the workflow named 'Typical Workflow' for the status named 'Open' in the current workflow named 'Workflow Projects 123-2...'.
Selecting the wrong status
If you select a status that does not match the status being mapped (from the left column) in the entities it covers, a warning balloon will pop up asking you to select a different status. Like so:
To resolve this error, you can either select a different status that will cover the required entity(ies), or you can edit the status to make sure it meets the requirement stated on the warning balloon (see below).
