Q: I am an administrator but I am restricted as to what I can do in a project or can't see all its tasks. Why is that?
A: The access level of Administrator is a global one and cannot exist inside a project - once you are assigned to a project your permissions are set by your access level inside that project and this translates into the following rules of thumb:
- If a user is NOT a member of either a project, or a portfolio, their permissions are taken from their global access level.
- If a user is a member of a portfolio, their portfolio-related permissions override their global ones and apply to entities inside that portfolio, i.e. projects, activities, time entries, expenses, etc.
- If a user is a member of a project, their project-related permissions override their global ones.
- If a user is a member of a project and a portfolio, their project-related permissions override their portfolio-related ones.
