Overview
Custom forms in Birdview provide a powerful means to collect data efficiently. Each form is equipped with HTML code, enabling direct access to the form. This code can be utilized to integrate forms onto web pages. Additionally, every custom form possesses a unique URL, allowing internet-connected users to access the form directly from their browsers.

Retrieve custom form HTML code
Each form comes with a HTML code which can be retrieved and used to access the form directly. This can be used to publish forms you create on your web page making them a good tool to collect data.
Note
Until a custom form is active, its HTML code holds no value, as the form will not be available to the person trying to access it through the code.
To get a custom form's HTML code, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Custom forms.
- Enter the editing mode of a custom form.
- In the Permissions section, select the "Allow anonymous users to add records" checkbox.
- Click Show code.
- Copy the code displayed in the text box for use elsewhere.
- Click Save changes to confirm your modifications.
Warning
Enabling the "Allow anonymous users to add records" checkbox permits anyone on the internet to add records to the custom form.
Retrieve custom form direct link
Each custom form functions as a web page and thus possesses a unique URL. By obtaining the respective URL for a custom form, you can enable any internet-connected user to access the form directly from the address bar of a browser.
Note
Only active custom forms have a working URL.
To retrieve a custom form's URL, follow these steps:
- Repeat the steps described above to access the editing mode of a custom form.
- Instead of clicking Show code, click Show link.
- Copy the link and share it with other individuals.
- Click Save changes.
