Overview
If you'd like to have an early preview and even first-hand testing experience of a Birdview PSA feature that is under development, we are offering you access to the Feature Labs screen.
The fact that the features presented on the screen are in beta testing does not mean that they are of any risk to the integrity and safety of your data. Beta testing is a type of testing done before releasing a product to the public. This phase can help uncover problems that may not have been detected during the earlier phases of software testing.
After the feedback from beta testing is evaluated, the software can be pushed to the public with more confidence. Hearing your feedback is the main idea of Feature Labs, therefore, you are encouraged to leave your comments and feedback.
Using Feature Labs you can:
- Enable a beta-feature,
- Disable a beta-feature,
- Leave feedback.
Another benefit is a special button that will take you to the screen where you can access the feature you are planning to beta-test.
Enabling Features
To enable a beta-feature in Feature Labs:
- Click through Login picture > Feature Labs.
- For the appropriate feature, click Enable Beta.
See Changes
You can use a shortcut to be taken to the screen where the beta-feature is available. For example, if you are beta-testing Resource Planning & Allocations, you will be taken to the Resources screen.
Use these steps:
- After you enable a beta-feature, a new button—See Changes—becomes available on the Feature Labs screen.
- Click See Changes.
Disabling Features
To disable a beta-feature in Feature Labs:
- Click through Login picture > Feature Labs.
- For the appropriate feature, click Disable Beta.
