My Assignments is designed to help Birdview users to focus on work at hand. While Activity Center gives one access to any project or task the user can view or edit, My Assignments is confined to activities assigned to you and you only.

Activities are NOT shown on the My Assignments page of an assignee if they:

• are complete (but can be filtered for - use the active/completed filter);
• belong to completed projects;
• the 'work is done' checkbox is selected on the task detail for the assignee; and/or
• are in a dependency relationship and the Master task has not been completed. (unless filtered for - use the gear icon filter and choose "Show activities with unfinished predecessors")

The page offers wide sorting options allowing you to manipulate the list of tasks assigned to you.

A typical My Assignments page looks as follows:

Task Sorting

My Assignments page contains the activities which you are assigned to and whose status is either treat-as-open or treat-as-hold. The activities can be sorted by:

• Start date,
• End date,
• Priority,
• Project,
• Customer name,
• Importance (WBS).

I'm done

To mark your work on a task as done, click the white circle with a checkmark next to the task. The circle will change color to green, upon which the task will disappear from the page as closed.

Tasks with a treat-as-open status, for which you clicked I'm Done are visible as grayed and stricken through to you in Activity Center.

Time Tracking

You can log time for an activity either manually or using a timer.

To log time manually:

1. Hover the pointer over the task you want to log time to.
2. Click the 'Add time entry' button
3. As a time log entry box opens, select the date and type in a decimal value (up to two digits after the decimal point).
4. Click 'Record XX h'.

To log time using a timer:

1. Hover the pointer over the task you want to log time to.
2. Click the '0:00:00' button.
3. The timer starts counting.
4. To stop timer, click the timer button again.
5. To record the time, click 'Add'. The recorded time log appears next to the timer button.
6. To cancel recording time and reset the timer, click 'Reset'.
