A project CANNOT be deleted if it has been designated as the default project for issues submitted by email. For more information, see Issue by E-mail settings.
There are two basic ways to delete a project. They are discussed below.
To delete a project(s), with the special template status, see the bottom help tip.
You may be unable to delete a project, if your role lacks the appropriate permission(s). Should this be the case, the "Delete" button or menu command will be inactive, that is, unavailable to you.
Follow one of the methods below to delete a project.
Deleting a project in Activity Center:
- While in Activity Center, select the checkbox of the project(s) you want to delete.
- Click 'Delete' on batch operation control panel.
- Confirm the deletion.
Deleting a project in Project details section:
- Once in Project details section (to access it just click the project's name in Activity Center), click "Delete" (see the second above). Click "OK" to confirm the deletion.
Deleting Template projects
By default, projects with a status of "template" do not show, so you need to explicitly filter for projects with that status - then you can delete them using that 1st method, above.
If not sure how to filter for template projects see this help page and the section on "Viewing Templates"
