Overview
The My assignments screen is designed to help Birdview users focus on the work at hand. While the Activity center gives access to any project or activity the user can view or edit, My assignments are confined to activities assigned to you and you only.
Activities are NOT shown on the My assignments page of an assignee, by default, if they:
- are completed (change active/completed filter to show),
- belong to completed projects (change active/completed filter to show),
- belong to projects put on hold,
- the "work is done" checkbox is selected on the activity details for the assignee (with Active filter on – see note below), and/or
- are in a dependency relationship and the master activity has not been completed (unless the extra setting "Show activities with unfinished predecessors" is enabled - see Visibility options below).
The page offers wide sorting options allowing you to manipulate the list of activities assigned to you. The page is limited to show the last 200 activities.
Accessing My assignments
The My assignments screen is accessible from everywhere. The access button is located on the top bar on the far right.
On the screen, you can:
- Move columns,
- Adjust their width,
- and Freeze them.
Grouping
My assignments page lists the activities which you are assigned to and whose status is either treat-as-open, treat-as-hold (on the Active tab) or treat-as-completed (on the Completed tab). The activities can be grouped by:
- Start date,
- End date,
- Priority,
- Project,
- Customer name,
- Importance (WBS).
You can also collapse and expand these groupings to focus on activities that matter to you at this time.
Show
Displaying some activities can be enabled/disabled as and when required using the visibility options menu () on the toolbar:
